東京大学ヨーロッパ留学生会

Welcome to the new students!

The Todai European Students Association welcomes all the newly enrolled students! Don't hesitate to subscribe to our mailing list, our facebook page and our twitter account to have information about our forthcoming activities!

You are all invited to the welcome lunch that we are organizing on Wednesday, October 12: meet us in front of the Starbucks (Engineering building 11). We are planning to have a picnic lunch so bring your bentos! And let's hope the weather will be good (if not, notices will be posted here and on Facebook). See you there!

Who We Are

A group of students at the University of Tokyo with European origin or interest in Europe who form an association for all the students who do not find any association here at the University of Tokyo yet.

The planning committee of the European Student Association for the Hongo May festival 2010.

Who can Join

All students or staff of the University of Tokyo can join our association. It is not required to be from a European country. However, it is required to be associated with the University of Tokyo. If this is not true for you, you still can join our newsletter and our forum. Please enter your email address below to join and receive our newsletter.

Our Activities

We divide the activities of our association in 2 categories.

Web-forum / Newsletter Activities

  • Assistance for new students for settling down in Japan. This includes e.g. help in finding furniture, apartments etc.
  • Exchange of ideas between already existing members. For example information about special offers (like phone contracts, internet contracts or events coming up in Tokyo) to keep all students well informed since not all will read Japanese newspapers or watch TV.
  • Transfer of used items like furniture, bicycles etc. to new students from leaving students.

Cultural Activities

  • Participation in events like festivals at the University of Tokyo as a student association promoting the European culture.
  • Meetings (general meetings of the association itself if enough people are interested or meetings with other (student) organizations. Often people studying foreign languages are very grateful for finding native speakers to practice their language with).
  • Organization and sponsoring of social activities (soccer tournament, etc.)
